What advertising does not buy
- It does not buy coverage. Advertisers and affiliate programmes have no say in what
we cover or what we conclude. - It does not buy a score. Reviews are not influenced by advertising, affiliate
revenue, or the availability of a commission. - It does not buy silence. A commercial relationship never stops us reporting
something unflattering.
Review samples and press access
Publishers sometimes provide review copies, review codes, hardware loans or event access. Receiving
one is not payment and carries no conditions on our verdict. Where a game or device was supplied to
us, we say so in the article. We do not accept payment for a review, and we do not accept conditions
on the content or timing of coverage in exchange for access.
